Baby dress to Adult wear
When my niece was a toddler, I crocheted her many different outfits. One of the outifts was this variegated tan dress with a lacy stitch.
I was going to an event and wanted to make something and I thought this would be good to open up the seams and add to it. The theme was purple. The yarn had purple in it and I added some purple trim
I just added to the sides, changed the neck line and added purple to the dress. I switched the back to the front so that the pineapple design would be the star.

Crochet on My Alaska Cruise
I love taking my crochet on vacation with me. I did take some with me but the weather was cold and my coat was on most of the time when I was outside. I should have taken more scarves with me to showcase in the Alaskan air.

My Linus Blanket
This is my first blanket that I can remember creating. This was my I am bored and I need to crochet blanket. It started when I was 8 years old and it continued until I reached 24 years old.
I truly believed that at some point it would straighten out to a round circle. This blanket saw me crochet from St. Josephs Montessori School- elementary school until Texas Southern University Law School.
It has finally become in style. It is now my cocoon blanket. It will keep my body warm while watching tv or crocheting.

Pieces of a Black and White forms dress
My Black and White dress needed to be completed in a week. I was going to an event and the theme was black and white. However, plans were changed and I still wore the dress to an a Steppers event with no color scheme.
I have several black and white crochet pieces in the house. I had been trying to create cowls with different yarns. One was going to be a ruffle cowl and the other was striped with black and white. I also created an open lace pattern with ruffle yarn. (You can see the individual pieces below.) I connected the pieces and added additional rows of black and white yarn. Some yarn had metallic in it and others had sequins.
The pieces that were already created were from bottom to top: The black metallic shell stitch to the ruffle was going to be a cowl. I decided to use it. I crocheted on top on it until I reached the end of the black and white shells. Then, I connected the white piece with the black and white stripes.
You can see the individual pieces below.
